separation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons with mixed micellar high performance liquid chromatography
Authors
abstract
separation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons was performed by rp-hplc using mixed micellar mobile phase. effect of temperature, types and amounts of coorganic solvent in mobile phase on efficiency, asymmetry factor and selectivity factor showed that the appropriate condition for separation of these compounds was 3% isopropanol (v/v) as co-organic solvent in mobile phase at 40°c. analysis of the tridimensional plots of variation of sds si.d brij-35 concentration on selectivity factor showed that the optimum conditions were 45-65 mm of sds and 1-1.5 mm of brij- 35 in micellar mobile phase

full textSeparation of Sedative – Hypnotic Drugs with Mixed Micellar Liquid Chromatography
Separation of ten sedative- hypnotic drugs was performed by RP-HPLC using mixed micellar mobile phase. Effect of temperature, type and amount of organic modifier in mobile phase on efficiency (N) and asymmetry factor (B/A) showed that, the appropriate conditions for a good separation were 35°C and 7% (V/V) butanol in mobile phase. Variations of selectivity factor versus butanol concent...
full textDetermination of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in milk samples by high-performance liquid chromatography with fluorescence detection.
This paper describes a high-performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) method for the determination of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in milk samples. The method involves a liquid-liquid extraction procedure after saponification of milk samples with sodium hydroxide. Reproducible determination with highly sensitive detection was attained by HPLC with fluorescence detection using 1,2-bis...

full textPhosphated surfactants as pseudostationary phase for micellar electrokinetic chromatography: separation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.
A double alkyl chain di(2-ethylhexyl)phosphate (DEHP) is introduced as a potential anionic micellar pseudophase for a wide range of benzene derivatives and/or polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). Several parameters such as concentration of phosphated surfactant, type and concentration of organic solvents (acetonitrile, isopropanol, and methanol), as well as capillary electrophoresis separat...
full textIonic Liquid-based Ultrasound-assisted In-situ Solvent Formation Microextraction and High-performance Liquid Chromatography for the Trace Determination of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons in Environmental Water Samples
A green and efficient ionic liquid-based ultrasound-assisted in-situ solvent formationmicroextraction (IL-UA-ISFME) in combination with high-performance liquid chromatographyultravioletdetection (HPLC-UV) has been successfully developed for the trace determination offive selected polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in environmental water samples. In thismethod, a hydrophobic ionic liquid (1...
